Talking to Your
Doctor About Radicava

When you're living with ALS, every move matters. As you work with your healthcare provider (HCP), you may often find yourself asking, "So, what's the next move?"

One topic you'll likely discuss is your treatment options. If you're interested in Radicava® (edaravone), it may be important to discuss this with your HCP as soon as possible.

Get the Talking to Your Doctor guide

You can download a Talking to Your Doctor discussion guide, which may help you explain why you're interested in Radicava®. The discussion guide has 3 pages. The first page is for your own personal reference, and the second and third pages are designed to be shared with your HCP at your next appointment.

Talking to Your
Doctor About Radicava

You have downloaded the Talking to Your Doctor discussion guide. We hope that it is helpful at your next appointment.

When you’re discussing treatment with Radicava® (edaravone), remember that it may help to:

  • Let your HCP know that you’ve read or heard about Radicava® and want to know more
  • Discuss what slowing the rate of functional decline means to you
  • Tell your HCP that you're interested in starting treatment with Radicava® as soon as possible, if he or she agrees with you

If my HCP agrees, what's my next move?

If you and your HCP decide that Radicava® is right for you, the next step is talking to him or her about submitting a Benefits Investigation and Enrollment form to Searchlight Support. This can help determine if your insurance covers Radicava®. Upon receiving the form, a care coordinator will:

  • Enroll you in Searchlight Support
  • Investigate your insurance coverage
  • Send you a summary of your benefits

While your HCP must complete the benefits investigation form, your signature is needed to authorize your enrollment in Searchlight Support. If needed, your HCP can download this form on For US Healthcare Providers.
